Permiso Protocol · Cohort two · January 2027

You are not tired. You stopped wanting.

Twelve weeks with me, a family medicine doctor, for the Latina working mom who runs everything at work and at home and has no answer when someone asks what she wants. We find the thing you used to want. You say it out loud. Then we build a body that can carry it.

In their words

What women in my last program say

“I’ve been able to block time from my schedule to really be involved in growing and giving myself more of what I’ve been missing because I have put others before me. This challenge was for me.”

Georgina Perez

“I found myself constantly negotiating with myself my own needs at work, at home. This challenge has helped me find small ways to give myself permission to ask for what I need.”

Gabby Trejo

“I was so tired, no tenía ganas. I give to everyone but never do I give to myself.”

Program participant

These notes come from women in Chingona-Maxxing, my last group program. They are shared with permission. Every woman’s experience is her own.

Read this on your lunch break

I know that is when you do things for you

  • You book everyone’s appointments on your lunch break and keep postponing your own.
  • Your workday ends. Nobody else’s requests do.
  • You eat standing up. You know everyone’s passwords, dosages, and practice schedules.
  • When someone asks what you want, you say “whatever you want” or “I’m fine.”
  • You scroll two hours a night and call it rest.
  • Your kids and your husband get what is left after everyone else is served.
  • And somewhere in there you said, “when the kids are older.”

You will be 45 to 55 when the kids are older. I am not saying that to scare you. I am saying it because waiting for everyone to need less has quietly become your whole plan for getting your life back.

La chispa

Remember the gift you knew you had, that one time?

Most of the women I have worked with can tell me the last time they wanted something just for themselves. It is usually a long time ago. Many say their teenage years, because that was the last time wanting something felt big and allowed.

Then la rutina. Work, kids, the house, the family, and you became the one who handles everything. The wanting did not die. You shut her out because there was no room for her.

That is what I mean by ganas. Not motivation. Not willpower. The ability to want something and have the energy to go after it. Your labs can be normal and your ganas can be gone. I saw it in my exam room for years before I saw it in my own mirror.

Do the math

What waiting is already costing you

01

Your hours

Two hours a night of scrolling you call rest is over 700 hours a year. That is about eighteen work weeks of your own life.

02

Your plans

The class, the exam, the promotion you did not apply for, the business you have explained to three friends and never opened a document for. You have the skill. You have nothing left at the hour those things get built.

03

Your own care

The physical, the blood work, the mammogram, the thing you wanted to ask your doctor about. Everyone else’s appointments got booked first.

04

Your family

Nobody asked for the leftover version of you. You have been offering her like she was the gift.

The arrangement keeps renewing itself. Every busy season is followed by another busy season. So the question is not whether you are tired. It is this: what are you expecting to change next month if your time, your decisions, and your responsibilities stay exactly as they are?

Why I built this

I treated what this becomes, for years

I am a family medicine doctor. For years I sat across from women at 50 who were you at 38. Same normal labs. Same “I’m fine.” They still ate standing up, and the kids were grown, and they still had no answer when I asked what they wanted. I could treat a number on a lab. I had no prescription for a woman who had spent fifteen years taking care of everyone first.

Then I became that patient. I lost five people in three years, two of them my mother and my father. I was 80 pounds heavier, going through the motions of helping everyone but me. One day I saw I had to take my own advice or stop giving it.

I built Permiso so you never become my patient. Not the one with the number. The one who waited.

This is my own story, and it is not a promise. The program does not promise weight loss. Your twelve weeks will be your own.

How it works

Permission first. Then the body to carry it.

Every week has two tracks. One is permission, the part where you find what you want and say it. The other is your body: the sleep, the breakfast, the afternoon, the strength that decides how much of you is left at 4 PM.

Programs usually pick one. Mindset alone gives you a big dream and no fuel. Body work alone gives you energy you spend on everyone else. We do both, every week, in a group of fifteen.

The twelve weeks

One permission and one body skill, every phase

Weeks 1 to 3 · See it, say it

La Decisión

You find the pattern that keeps putting you last, and you write the woman you are becoming in one sentence. Body: protein at breakfast, morning light, a bedtime. One add a week.

First challenge: book your own appointment on the lunch break you use for everyone else’s.

Goal by week 3One sentence about who you are becoming, with no hedging.

Weeks 4 to 6 · Act on it, body

El Combustible

Permission to enjoy food again, sitting down, on the good plates. We fix the 4 PM crash and what late coffee does to your sleep.

Goal by week 6An afternoon you do not need to be rescued from.

Weeks 7 to 9 · Act on it, voice

El Tiempo

Two hours a week that are yours, blocked and announced. Scripts in English and Spanish for your kids, your husband, your mother, and your own guilt. Strength work small enough to keep.

We decide in writing, before your two hours, what you do when your mother goes quiet.

Goal by week 9Two hours a week that are yours, on the calendar, defended.

Weeks 10 to 12 · Own it

Mía

You stop needing my permission. You name the thing you have been postponing and book the first step with a date. We plan your bad weeks so you get back on track without starting over.

Goal by week 12You name the thing you are starting and take the first step.

These are goals we work toward together. Every woman’s twelve weeks look different. This is coaching and teaching in a group. It is not medical care, and I do not diagnose or treat anyone in this program.

The offer

What comes with your seat

  • Twelve weeks of teaching in four phases.
  • A live call with me every Saturday morning, Central time. Every call is recorded.
  • A group chat with me on weekdays from 9 to 4 Central. Ask as many questions as you want.
  • Word for word scripts for saying no, in English and Spanish.
  • Simple plans for your breakfast, your afternoon, your strength, and your bad weeks.
  • Your own recording, in your own voice, by week 12.
  • Fourteen other women, in a group small enough that nobody can hide.

The risk is mine

Do the work. If nothing moves, you do not pay.

Finish the first six weeks. Come to the calls, do the permission work, and build your energy floor. If nothing has changed by the end of week six, email me within seven days. Show me the work you did, and I will refund you in full.

I ask for the work first because the program only helps if you do it.

Who teaches this

A doctor teaches this. It is not medical care.

I am a board certified family medicine doctor. When I explain why protein at breakfast matters for your energy at four, you can trust it. You can also take it to your own doctor and ask about it.

This is teaching and coaching. It is not medical care. I will not diagnose you, treat you, or prescribe for you, on the calls or in the group. If you ask about your own condition, I will tell you to take it to your doctor. I will often tell you what to ask.

Before you decide

Your questions

When are the calls?

Saturday mornings, Central time, for twelve weeks. I picked Saturday because a weeknight call asks you to show up at the hour you have the least left. Every call is recorded, so a hard Saturday never costs you the lesson.

I do not have time for this

I know, and that is why you are here. We make small changes inside the life you already have. The first thing we build back is hours.

Will this help me lose weight?

Some women do lose weight, but it is never the promise here. If weight loss is the only thing you want, this is the wrong program for you.

What if I fall behind?

You will at some point, and the program expects it. The calls are recorded and the group stays open. The last phase is all about getting back on track without starting over.

Is it in Spanish or English?

Both, the way you live. I teach in English. The scripts and the words that carry the most weight come in both, because ganas does not translate.

What happens after I pay?

You pay $497 through Stripe, and you get a receipt right away. Within a day you get a welcome email from me with what you need for week one.

You already said it once

If you did the Chingona challenge or Sirena Season, you already said the one thing you want out loud. What has changed in the month since? That gap is the only reason Permiso exists.
